Anyone else have trouble with their transmission jerking sometimes? Ifso did you have it checked out by Ford?

Are you certain it is the transmission? I thought my 2001 had a failing transmission. It had a slight intermittent jerk when going up a slight grade and under very moderate acceleration. Turned out to be an engine cylinder misfire. I replaced all of the spark plugs and the problem went away. I believe others have experienced coil problems.

I have the exact same problem. Also the other day I took off from a dead stop and the truck hesitated badly and the CEL was blinking. I pulled over and the light turned off. The owners manual says a blinking CEL indicates a misfire. Been fine since but it does still jerk like when going up a hill. I thought it might me the tranny but maybe not. I have also had 4 leaking injectors replaced. I wonder if I have coil problems too. I only 3700 miles on this pig. What a joke.

I had a bad #4 coil wire that caused a slight hesitation kind of feel when cruising. Take it to Ford and they’ll know in a heartbeat once they put it on the WDS

Spark plugs?! These are special space age spark plugs, they last 100K miles.

What year is your truck?
When does it jerk the most? Gear change's? turning? or towing?
