XM Skifi installation

I've been installing my Delphi Skifi equipment in my truck today and have a question. I've got the pro fit mount ,which allows the skifi to be mounted to the right of the radio, almost right over the 12v outlet. I can't seem to find a good place to run the wires from the skifi cradle to the back of the radio. They really don't fit between the radio trim and the dash. I was thinking of drilling a hole in the blank spot, just to the right of the cig. lighter, but I really don't want to have to do this.

I was just wondering if anyone else has installed this, and where did you run your wires.

Just put the wires between the radio surround trim and the trim beside it...the cord around mine is for my radar detector not the xm by the way.

How are you guys getting power? did you cut the wires, or is there an aftermarket harness?

I'm using the FM modulator that is made by Delphi. The power is hardwired to the modulator and that has a power cord that connects right to the cradle.
I can't wait till the AUX adapters are available. I really don't like the sound of the modulator. Some songs sound OK, while others sound like they are recorded in a tunnel.
However, I will still use the delphi modulator just to power the cradle when the adapters are out.

bleppek, What do you mean by the AUX adapter? Is it for the audiophile radio? When will it be available and from whom?

Thanks

Both PIE and Blitzsafe are in the process of developing an adapter for the 2004 F-150 stero. I am only assuming that this would utilize the AUX button on the stero (I don't know what other way they could design it). This would allow you to connect a device with rca style outputs to the stero directly. All you have to do then is get a cord that has a headphone type connecter at one end and rca outputs at the other end and you'll be able to connect the SkyFi cradle directly to the stero. This can be picked up from any Radio Shack.

If you happen to get in contact with either PIE or Blitzsafe about these products and when they may be released, please post any info you get.
