I filled up my first tank today and wanted to reset the trip odometer on my XLT's mini message center. I was able to toggle back and forth from the odometer to the trip odometer, but I couldn't figure out how to reset it, and I couldn't find it in the manual either. How is this done? I thought maybe to hold the button down for a few seconds might do it but that didn't work.
Help!

BTW, I got 15 MPG out of my first tank. Probably about 75% highway miles. About as good as my 93 Jeep Wrangler, so I'm not unhappy. Only the F150 rides so much better and has a lot more room! But, I don't think I want to take my F150 on Black Bear pass.

Never mind. I did a search here and found the answer. Sorry, I should have searched in the first place before posting the question. I was right to hold it down, I just didn't wait long enough. - Tocks

 

But, beware...if you hold it down too long after resetting to trip, it will go into compass reset mode...PITA until y'all learn the sequence.
