I thought I was never going to use that tray either, but I find I love it for switching between sunglasses and regular without having to fold them up. Other than that, it seems like anything you put up their would roast in the sun.

I noticed a photo or two of covers taken at the SEMA show, but there was no way to ID the source.

After spilling some coffee in the tray and otherwise having things slide around there, I bought some charcoal-colored, rubberized, linen-weave pattern tool box tray/kitchen shelf liner and cut pieces from a paper pattern to fit the tray and cup holders in the truck. They make for much easier cleaning and maintenance of those area. Looks custom, too.

I use it for "man-purse" items, as my wife likes to say. Smokes, sunglasses, phone etc.

Likely a nice install
Even better would be a locking cover when your item is not in use
or whatever you do not want to leave on the dash

Yeah, I wish the center consoul had a lock on it...But this GPS unit is also a PDA so I usually keep it with me at all times in my pocket...Good luck

The new Freestar mini-vans have a cover for the top storage bin. When I first saw it I thought it was cool, then I realized it was pretty much a waste of space. YOu can't put change in it, and as someone else said, anything you put in there would be toasted. Seems like someone should have walked down the hall to the Freestar design room and snagged their cover and put it on the F150.
