Speaker connectors?

Does anybody know if they have release speaker connectors yet? So you don't have to cut your wires to install new speakers.

Me too. Metra makes them, but I can't find the part #. It's been posted on this board before. Maybe a "search" will turn it up.

Best buy has 'em, your best bet is to go INTO the install bay - they ALWAYS have them, whereas the sales people don't even know what they are!

Crutchfield wants $18.00 just for the harnesses. I was trying to buy the speakers locally but cant find the harnesses.

The harnesses are free if you buy the speakers through Crutchfield as well. I bought my entire setup from Crutchfield. Have had good luck with them in the past.

Snip away i say. I personally feel a solder connection cannot be beat. Anyway If I go to trade in I'll replace the HU but most likely leave in the speakers. However I did buy the SCOSCHE adpt for the HU. I'm presently using the original HU into High inputs of my amp. Sounds OK. I still need to get something with RCA's to have a cleaner sound. Though.

like the others did, I got some from install bay at Best Buy. I'm not sure of the part number, but I'm pretty sure they said application for 1998-up Ford.
