Blindspot Mirrors

Looking the add blindspot mirrors (the little sherical ones) to my new '04 F150 FX4. I add them to all my trucks, especially since I trailer a boat alot. This truck has the deluxe mirrors with HEAT and the turn signal. I'm wonder if sticking the blindspot mirror to the heated mirror will create any problems. Can anybody comment?

Check out these sites. Interesting articles on how to get rid of the blind spots without adding those little round mirrors. They all pretty much say the same thing but sometimes people need to see it presented in different ways.
I have been doing this for about a couple of years and it works.
The only time I really have to turn around and double check is when merging onto the expressway or those rare times I must cross multiple lanes.
Of course, I have never hauled a boat or trailer so I don't know how it will work in those situations.

Question How wide the boat

If your boat is wider then 95" you may want to look at these.

They should be available the end of this month, or the first of April. Yes they do cost a fortune, but they could be worth it if you do a lot of towing. If your boat is 98" or more, I think it would be a must have.

Two parts:

One- I have no first hand knowledge, but have been told by others that do, if you stick those "moon spots" on the heated mirrors over time (and not very long) they will fall off (most likely as you are going down the road).

Two - After having been unable to find any good underside mount spot mirrors I came to the conclusion on my own that I should be able to re-adjust all three mirrors as mentioned in one of the previously posted article links. This method takes some getting use to, but works well. Because I too tow a boat, I am continuing to look for some spot mirrors that will attach to the underside of the heated mirrors. I'm sure some after market ones will appear soon for the 04.

Attach them with silicone and they will never come off unless you want them to. Heat doesn't bother silicone like it does regular adhesive.

I have the small mirrors on my Lariat and have used the heated mirrors frequently this winter. No problems to report at this time, they seem to be fine.

I have a stick-on blind spot mirror on the drivers side and I use the heated mirrors about every morning. So far so good after about 5 months. Now If I could just get the heat to transfer to the stick-on mirror it would be great.

If you adjust your mirrors as stated above to get rid of the blind spots you will not be able to use your mirrors to back into parking spots. Since I have the rear sensors I usually back into a parking space and I use the mirrors all the time to line up the truck. The blind spot mirror also aids when backing in.
