when is the last possible time to change your order, i ordered my truck less than two weeks ago(Feb 24) and told the fleet salesman that I saw the chrome oval step bars and wanted those instead of the platform running boards. This was last Monday now he says they already have the DORA issued and they cant change the order. Late today they recieved the
VIN# 1FTPW12534KC70703 and a build date of the week of March 15. Now I know I'm screwed because I understand when you recieve the VIN you cant change your order. Do I have any recourse, is there no way to exchange the bolt on ovals for the platforms from the factory, or my only choice is canceling the order and reordering (which I dont want to have to do). The dealer says they cant swap out my platform running boards for the chrome oval steps at the Dealership because they would have to reissue new invoices. I gave my dealer notice to change my order two days prior to the VIN being issued and I still cant make a change??? Help Please!!!

thanks silver, now I have some ammo when I go the the dealer today

 

dealer made it right since I changed my order two days prior to Vin being issued although it didnt go through,they just reordered with the chrome ovals instead of the running boards using the same X plan pin#, and the first order will be put on the lot for sale. Still surprised I ordered Feb 24 and recieved a Vin on March 3rd and a build week of March 15, so hopefully this one will go through as fast!!!
