Raising the front end

I was just wondering is there any way to raise the front end of the 2004 4x4 pickups. I know on my 2002 fx4 I had the torsion bars which alowed me to raise the front end about an inch if not higher.

Thanks Shane

(notice the photoshopped tires on the first one ... hahaha)

You can get these via online stores, this eBay search, or a local auto shop.

I had mine done by 4WheelParts in Austin because I like to leave such mods to the professionals.

Thanks for the information Don.

I think I might be getting a lariat 4x4 screw. I sure like the desighn and the interior. About the only thing I didnt like was how low the front end is. I like the way yours sits and leveled it in the picture, very nice and not to expensive. I was wondering if it voided the warranty to get this done.

This is a little of the subject, I was wondering if you play drums with Bert. Your name sounds familiar. I am a drummer with the Southernimage band out of Fredericksberg.

Take care Shane

Took me a minute to figure out why you were calling me "Don." :o

IMO, you will NOT be disappointed with a Lariat SCrew 4x4! Yes, the lower front end is easily fixable with the leveling kit. I had mine installed by 4WheelParts.com for about $275 the first day I could get it done. And you won't be disappointed with the leveling either.

As for the warranty, only modified parts will/may be voided. It's not like it would knock out your entire warranty. Should a problem arise in the area of the mod (torsion, springs, etc.), then Ford may or may not cover it. It's a case by case thing. Honestly, I'm not worried about it one bit.

As for the drums ... well, no. I've never played them. I was a sax man back in the day -- junior high & high school. Ah Fredericksburg. I need to get back over there someday. I need to take a long day trip and just relax -- which is what that town is really good for!

Why buy plastic when you can buy steel?

I'm interested in leveling my truck too, the only thing i'm worried about is when I go into the city to the parking garages.....I know i'm really close already. Does anyhow have a Cab height on a leveled truck? does the FX4 rider higher then a XLT 4x4?
