Anyone checked daystar nuts after install?

Mine keep loosing up. I have tightened them 3-4 times since I had the kit installed. The rep said they should stay tight. Said he would send more out if I can't get them to stay tight. May have to try loctite.... Anyone with this problem or suggestions on a fix?

I used the factory nuts, they had more thread on them and looked like it was a better quality piece.

Mine came with lock washers and lock nuts. Mine have not loosened a bit. After I tightened them to about 30 ft/lbs all of the bolts started turning also. I had to grip the tip of the bolt with some vise grips and use a open end wrench for another 3/4 of a turn or so. Maybe your bolts are just spinning? They should'nt loosen up with lock nuts and lock washers. The factory torque on the original bolts were only 35 ft/lbs.

I have tightened them with an end wrench to the point I can't turn them anymore and they still loosen. They are the nuts with the teflon inserts.

Yea, they're there. The nuts are usually only 1/2-1 turn loose.

Go buy some Loctite 241. Apply it overnight so it gets a chance to set up.

You can also try putting another nut on top of the existing nut, that usually locks them together. The problem with that is the way lock nuts are made though. It works great when you use regular nuts.
