1st free oil change not quite free

Took my '04 5.4L in for it's free oil change today. On the way home I noticed the invoice said they only put 6 quarts in so I pulled over and checked it. Sure enough it was at the bottom mark on the dipstick so had to pull into Walmart and buy another quart of 5W20. Cost me $1.94. It wasn't worth it to go back to the dealer and wait but I'll be calling to let them know how much oil they're supposed to put in a 5.4L. I normally do it myself but couldn't resist "free".
Another case of "if you want something done right do it youself".

I posted a reply awhile back about the free oil change, stating that it was not worth $20 to have 10w40 or 5 quarts of oil, or not synthetic blend put in. I changed it myself and got some free peace of mind!

Yup, Sure taught me a lesson. Oh well, I had to take it in to get a rattle in the windshield cowling fixed anyway. At least that seems to have been done right. This service dept. has always done a great job. I've used them for about 6 years now. They must have the shop idiot doing their oil changes.
