FX4 2004 in Mexico

Hi folks! I'm in the process to buy a F150 in Mexico as I'm from Monterrey.

Here the trucks arrive with some configurations diferent than the USA market.

First, the 150 is renames as LOBO and I choose the FX4

How can i check if the equipment is the same than the ofered in the USA market?

I need to know:

Off road tuned shocks, how can i diferentiate from the standard shocks?

The limited spped diferential?

It came with Clas IV hitch but how can I veryfy the Auxiliar upgraded transmission cooler?

Thanks for the info you can get me.

you can tell is you have limited slip axle by trying to lose traction and seeing if you spin 1 of the wheels.

You can also check the transmission cooler by looking at the front of the radiator. There will be an extra small radiator in addition to the main coling rad and the small rad for the air conditioning.

J-150, thanks for your repply!

I'll going to double check the radiators, As I remember there is a very small radiator in front the engine radiator.

I don't know if the non factory tow package trucks have a transmission radiator and only change to a larger when factory tow package equiped.

As the pick up is going to be in the dealer lot, is dificult to check "in the field" if I can spinn a wheel.

In my GM there is a sticker in the glove box with a serial of codes and that codes means every option included in my truck, Does Ford have something similar? I don't find any sticker in the F150 gloves box.

Thanks for your Help.

I have a FX4 Super Crew. On my door pillar there is a sticker with a few codes. The axle code I have is B6, I have the 3.73 limited slip. You can push down on the rear bumper of a FX4 and Lariat/XLT and you will notice the diffenence on how they rebound. The FX4 will not have any after bounce, just a smooth upward stroke. The Lariat/XLT will have a little extra up/down bounce to it. It is a noticeable difference.
