Saw my first Titan on my way to work
All I can say to that is "no thank you". That is truly one truck that looks alot better in the commercials.
To me, all the parts just don't go together well when you look at it as a whole. And I can't imagine what they were thinking when they designed the tailgate as well.
Im not "Nissan" bashing or anything, if i liked the looks I may have test drove one before buying my F-150, (i test drove the dodge 1500).
What i find really funny is that guy went WAY out of his way to weave in and out of traffic to catch up to me, i had to laugh and shake my head when he did, what a bozo.
04 F-150 XLT, 4.6 Supercab 6.5' bed, Bright red
3.55LS, tow package, fog lamps P255 Michelins

Looked at one at the Miami boat show when I was pi**ed my ordered F150 came in wrong and couldn't find a similar match. After looking at the smaller (appeared) cheaper interior, plus the ugly I couldn't take - found a truck near me without the reverse sensor or memory seats...I made the right choice
I haven't seen one yet. I have seen one Pathfinder Armada around here and it didn't look too offensive...less so than the pics. It did look smaller than I expected.
I've always thought that Nissan tried a bit too hard with the macho "hardbody" etc. and their styling reflects that. They just look to me like they're trying to look so hard that they overshoot the mark and end up looking goofy. The snaggletooth grill on the Titans and Armadas is an example. They're definitely not understated by any means. If they want to compete, they've really got to give up the "fat guy in a muscle shirt" look

Saw my 1st Titan up close and I like it!!
Interior is'nt much different than the 04 F150,priced pretty close too.
If the motor is as good as everyone says it is then the Titan should be a great truck.
After all it can beat the Hemi and supposedly pull better than the 04 F150,what's not to like about that??
Ugly no,unique definitely!!
If I was lookin for a new ride I would take one for a rest ride(still might just to see what that motor is like!!)

I have seen 2 titans on the road since they came out. Does anybody else notice that the people driving chevys and dodges always bring up how good the titan is suppose to be when you are praising your 04 f150. Chevy and dodge sure haven't given them anything to brag about.
It is one ugly truck. I just can't get around that.

I saw one on a car carrier headed in the other direction and it didn't look as bad as the magazine pics to me. I will reserve my opinion until I get a closer look however. I also read that Nissan sold a whopping 4,035 Titans in January. That was less than half of Toyota Tundra sales. They are on pace to sell 48,420, a far cry from their projected 100,000 plus anual sales goal. If power/powertrain was the say all end all in trucks like some Hemi owners swear it is, then I think the Titan would be the truck to own.
I think the Titan sales are dependent on production capacity, since it's such a new truck.
My brother and law just picked up a silver quad cab model. Not too bad looking in silver with the 18" wheels. Very strong too!
His did say that every truck on the lot (5 or so) were already sold and awaiting pick-up.
That said, I can't stand the look of the chrome front bumper or the black thing on the tailgate. I'm not planning on drag racing Hemi's, so the 2005 F150 is next in line for me, or maybe I'll keep my 2000 Scab and get the 2005 Mustang GT???

agree that nissan was very heavy handed when they styled the nose and tail gate of the Titan. Tremendously overstated the styling details. But , guy at work yesterday rolled in with a maroon titan 4 door screw and no doubt the truck has some very nice features. If Nissan would back away from the garish, exagerated styling details, they wil have a real home run. The truck itself is great.
I think they are already starting to tone down the styling some. My first multiple sightings were in Clovis, NM of all places - driving 700 miles from the Albuquerque area to the Dallas area. I actually turned my F-150 around to look at what must have been a new shipment as they had then paraded on the front lot. When I drove back through to home in New Mexico, there were none left - about six days total.
I don't really find the styling attractive, but I don't find it all that offensive either. I do believe in Nissan engines and this one appears to be another very good one. The engine is the heart of a vehicle especially if you keep it for a long time. Nissan also has a pretty good history of taking care of their customers, something Ford has decided to abandon of late.
Anyway - I had a hard time finding those new Titans displayed in Clovis ugly, actually I thought they were rather attractive. Maybe I'm already used to this design.

Sounds like some kind of envy/jealousy thing. The guy is obviously trying to justify his purchase and show off to a Ford owner. What these guys don't get is that if we wanted a Nissan, we would have not bought the Ford.
