Go for it, I have been lucky so far and have not had any problems with mine.

 

Pepatrick...I'm right there with you, as I've driven Ford trucks for well past a decade. Ford has dropped the ball a couple of times, the debacle on the new 6.0 Powerstroke being one example. I watched that play out via a diesel forum web site and this eventually lead to a story on Reuters news wire last summer that Ford was doing a lot of buy backs from customers whose SuperDutys were problematic. Then there was the problem with the horsepower on the Cobra a couple of years back. You may recall that one, the owners found that their actual horsepower ratings were far below what Ford claimed.

NOW, before I have to don a flame suit, let me assure you that I bleed blue oval blue. but I do realize that every now and then even my beloved Ford screws up. The few problems I've read about online here are no where as big as either of those two issues and I'm learning from reading the responses. Until just a few days ago, I rarely frequented the '04 portion of the site.

The great thing about this web site is that we are able to gather together and exchange information. I tend to trust you, my fellow Ford owners, more than I do a customer service rep on the end of a toll free phone line.

Ah, another question! Went to my local Ford dealer earlier today looking to see what the black leather interior looks like on a white Lariat. Every white Lariat had tan interior! Has anyone purchased white w/black interior?
