Whipple supercharger 5500.00

I got a return email from the whipple company and they said the supercharger for the '04 5.4 3v will be about 5500.00. It should be out in a few months and that is not with the installation. I would assume that a supercharger will void the warranty????

Say bye-bye to your warranty with that. How much HP is it supposed to make? Sounds awful pricey.

Being the first to do it, that would be dicey!

Hmmm, I had a phone conversation with Whipple, just two days ago that I came away with a different price from. I posted those comments already in another thread, but here is a cut and paste of them:

FYI: Talked to Josh at Whipple today. The '04 5.4L 3V F-150 kit has not come back from California emission certification yet, so the release date is now going to be at least another two months out. He said pricing looks to be about $4,100 in black and $4,700 polished. That price is for the SC without the intercooler. No firm pricing on an intercooler, but questimate is around $1,000 more. BTW, Josh mentioned they are running their test mule with 8lb (of boost) pulley, but the kit is coming with a 6lb pulley. They are getting no pinging running 8lbs of boost and no intercooler, and the driveline is completely stock. The 6lb version tested just under 500 HP at the flywheel -- now THAT is my idea of a serious performance mod!!

As to warranty and other Whipple SC related '04 F-150 issues, see --->>this thread.

The price I posted included the intercooler. Man, that is a lot of power. I would love to have one on my FX4

I didn't ask, but they said the 5.4 will be about two months or sooner.
