Lightbulb red truck..?

I am considering buying a red '04 lariat. I have never owned a red vehicle before. For those of you who have owned red vehicles in the past how does the color hold up. How bad does it fade and show scratches?

"Chinese" or chalky red is pretty much a thing of the past with any modern paint system.

My last three vehicles have been red, and all looked like new when I traded them in.

Get whatever color you like, they all hold up just fine.

I have a red lariat ordered, and had a electric red explorer in 96 it still looked as good the day I traded it in as the day I got it.

My 2001 Lariat is solid red, no lower two tone paint. The paint has held up very well! And, it looks pretty good with the Weld Typhoons too.

I'm about to pull the trigger on an '04 SuperCrew, am probably going back to Oxford White as I alternate between those two colors, you'll be fine.

Buy the red truck!

I have a solid bright red 04' XLT screw. My dad has a 97 Lariat SuperCab that he maybe waxed twice and it looks new.

Bright red holds up great. My '02 was red and my '04 is Red with Arizona Beige tutone.
