Looking for rubbers

For those of you who have the same steering wheel problem as I do, the periodic rubbing sensation when you turn the wheel between the 11 o'clock and 1 o'clock positions, make sure you ask to have it checked out by the dealer. I know I have seen other people with this problem, however if not enough people complain about it, Ford will not do an investigation into what is causing it. And if that doesn't happen, we'll be stuck with it for the life of our trucks. So in order to get this fixed, show your respective service departments the problem and hopefully that will allow Ford to come up with an easy fix for the problem. If you haven't already brought it to you dealer's attention, please do so.

Thanks

Frustrated Rubber

I will be visiting the service dept soon as soon as they receive the second windshield replacement and for new tires. I will definately mention it to them.

Excellent. Glad to hear you guys are going to mention it. I actually rode with the service guy to make sure he felt it. Told him where to put his hands, where to turn the wheel, etc. That way they couldn't come back with the old, "Could not verify customer's complaint" line.

I'm happy for you to Silvern.

And just where did you tell him to put his hands?

I'm sorry, I just couldn't help it...

Try your local Drug Store or Wal-Mart.

Around my column shifter. And he said, "Whoa, I can't do that with just one hand." So I said, "Use 'em both."

I know the answer you were looking for is what I typed above. But the real answer was the 11 & 1 o'clock positions on the wheel. The funny thing is that he was using only one hand at the 12 o'clock position and I did have to tell him to use two hands to really feel it good. It was wonderful
