Head rest's on SCab
New on the forum, glad to be here. I bought my Scab XLT 4X4 January 1. Could not be happier with it. However I have one little complaint with the front seat head rest's. They seem to be canted way to much forward. To me it's very uncomfortable, it put's my chin in my chest basically. Is this just me or has anyone else noticed this....
All of us probably have a different driving posture. You have noticed something I havent, and I too have an XLT 4X4 scab. I may drive with the back of the seat further back than you, not sure. Anyway maybe someone here can give you some insight on a fix that has worked for them. Good luck.
You probably just have your seat tilted forward too much. Try tilting it back a little until it's more comfortable. I just tilted mine back because I found myself leaning forward while driving, and not even using most of the seat back. I don't know it it was because of the seat, or because it's quite a reach to the radio when I'm leaning all the way back.

I have noticed that too. It is almost as though the top of the headrest is tilted forward a little too far. However...if you watch the crash tests of the '04 F-150 it is designed perfectly to reduce whiplash. I like driving with the back of the seat tilted forward a little for more back support, the con is not being able to tilt your head back as much as you'd like before the headrest catches you. Once again, it's designed more for safety than comfort. This is just one of the small issues that take some getting used to.
Someone said before to tilt the seat back just a little. Try that.
