Angry Help Me Please

I have my truck in for service for engine in failsafe mode, and the tech called ford for info on the problem. The response from ford was take the truck and drive it as is, they know of the problem but don't have a fix. so they want me to drive it as is until they do, and as is, is *****TY! I called Ford customer relations center and she told me to drive it, and she would call me back on wednesday after she look at her resources on where to go next. I said it runs like ***** and asked if I would get a loaner and she said it's not part of my warranty. WTF is that? either is having my new truck dying after 3000 miles. HELP!

Just curious...did you buy this truck off the lot or order it? Either way, do you know when it was built? Trying to figure out if this is a early built issue or if all trucks have the potential for this problem. There have been a bunch of people on here with that problem. If it keeps up, I'd say we might have a recall on our hands unless it's limited to a certain time of production. They might be able to weather this storm and let people bring them in on their own if that's the case...to be fixed under warranty. I'll be sure to watch for this when I get mine, since I put a lot of miles on my cars and my warranty won't last but maybe 1.5 years.

I have been following your other posts, but can't remember what you said about how the engine runs. Can you physically tell a difference, or is it just the light?

If you can't tell a difference, I say drive it until it blows up and then raise holy hell about it. Leave it in the middle of the road if it stops.

If there is a difference in the feel or sound of the ride, let us know.

I am no mechanic, nor do I work for Ford, but I am sure that with a little more info, people here would be glad to help out.

BE SURE TO DOCUMENT THE TIME, DATE AND PEOPLE YOU SPEAK WITH AND WHERE THEY ARE LOCATED (DEALER, HELP LINE, ETC.).

There is a definite loss of power in engine safe mode and the engine revs at higher rpms. I bought it off the lot in November, it has a build date of 10-29-03.
Also, I'm about to pick it up from the dealer it is at, and take it to the service dept where I puchased it from as they want to look at it. They will be giving me an excursion to drive in the mean time.
