Unless something has changed there are no optional tires for the Lariat 4X2 or 4X4. I believe both use BFGs. Not sure about the FX4s other then the standard tire is 17" and optional is 18".

In these sizes after market the options available to you are slim but will catch up soon.

Assuming they were available, I would rather have Michelines over Goodyear and Goodyear over BFGs on a 4X2. The edge probably goes to BFGs in the 4X4 world.

Just an opinion

I had the option to buy the BFG's or the up graded Goodyear tires when buying my Lariat 4X4 SC. I bought the up graded tires. The Goodyears work great in the snow.

My 4x2 Supercrew Lariat came in with BFG's.. I was sick. I felt it would come with Michelins or Goodyears from pictures I had seen.
The BFG's are quite tires but they are rock throwers. Am happy with them after 4,000 miles, will see after 60,000 miles if they make it that far. There is no better tire than a Michelin-just my biased oppinion.

I like the BFG's on my current truck. I had Goodyears on my 01 4x4 Scew and I was happy with them too. Both companies make a good tire.

My 01 SCrew came with Goodyear wranglers. They lasted 60K miles! I believe that the Mich"s are a better tire but lots more $ for just a fer thousand more miles.

Mine came with the BFG Rugged Trals, have 17,000 kms or 11,000 miles and are an excellent ice and snow tire, handling is very good but will probably go with the BFG All Terrains come summer.Had these on my Super Duty and they are excellent tires. They wear a little quicker than some of the others but the traction they provide out weighs the wear.
