VIN Check and Question

Hey Gang,

I ordered my Truck Feb 7th and this past saturday I got a VIN:

1FTPW14574KC59961

Can someone check?

Also, I asked my dealer if we could change my order from the flat black running boards to the Chrome (silver) ones. He said sure. I asked if this would change the VIN number. He said no. Can anyone confirm or deny this answer?

Also, please check the VIN number above.

Thanks

Matt

The VIN only applies to your body, drivetrain, weight rating, and braking system. I think that is it.

Thanks

Does changing from the Falt Black Running Boards to the Chrome change the VIN?

I know it could possibly change the unltimate build date, but what about the VIN

Sorry

so, you think the switch will not affect the VIN?

Good.

My Dealer just called to let me know that they submitted my order change for the chrome/silver steps instead of the flat black.

He said that he did not know if it would take since I have a VIN already and if it does take he did not know if the VIN would change.

Can someone clarify how this will affect my order?

Matt

Can I ask you a question real quick? What did you order? Which trim (Lariat, FX4?...), SuperCrew or SuperCab? Two-tone or solid paint? What options?

Trying to figure out what's up with my order since I have no VIN yet and you do (I ordered 3 days before you). I'm trying to see if this is a problem with my dealer or not.

VIN and Order info

On February 7th I ordered this:

Black Monotone
Lariat SCREW 4x4
Delux Heat Seats
Trailer Tow Pack
3.73 w/limited slip
P275 Tires
18" Wheels
Leather Chairs
AudioPhile
Skid Plates
Bed Extender
Power Moon Roof
Power Rear Window
Reverse Sensor System
Flat Running boards

Got VIN on February 14th

Changed Flat Black Boards to Chrome/Silver on February 16th

So I hope that the VIN sticks and this will not cause any long delay. I bought mine through Gene Evans in Union City, GA. This is so far the best car buying experience I have had. I am working with Cliff Griffen and he has be very helpful.

I seriously coubt your VIN will change. If it's too late to make changes, the truck will be built as you requested prior to the change.

And crap! You got the works AND a Crew and I don't have a VIN before you. (I'm ordering supercab lariat with a few options, nothing special) I'm beginning to wonder if my dealer has no allocation. Grrrrr!
