Homelink & Snuglid Remote
Homelink & Snuglid Remote
Does anyone know if the Lariat homelink system can "learn" the code for the Snuglid SL remote unlock?
I've had no problem haveing it learn my Sears garage door openers but since the Snuglid is on order I was wondering if I should stay with it's remote entry or if there is another system available that might work with the factory keyless entry instead.
Thanks to anyone that may have some info...

I have the Snuglid remote and I was dissappointed in the capabilities of it. I have an alarm remote for my car and they COULD NOT program either remote so I would only have to carry one. I had to pay $70 to a stereo shop to hook it up so I can use my trunk popper button on my alarm remote to open the tonneau. They had to take out the brain for the tonneau remote entry to bypass everything. Now I have all the wiring in my hand that I paid $170 for because Snugtop didn't want to (or know how) to make it convenient for the customer. Who the hell wants to carry around 2 remotes, a truck key, AND a tonneau key. For a couple days, my keychain looked like it belonged to a high school girl. I'm happy now. The stereo shop made it to where my alarm disarms when I pop the tonneau open as well.
But to answer your question, I wouldn't hold my breath. Good luck though.

I spoke with Snuglid and they confirmed that the keyless entry could not be learned by the Homelink. However they offered me the keyless option with a light for just $100 so I took it anyway. Should be here in three weeks.
We love the truck. 1300 miles and absolutely no problems.

"Keyless" option, does that mean you still have the separate clicker to open the lid?
Seems to me having the Truck clicker do both the doors and the lid would make it a lot better. Anyone have a solution to this?
