Just wondering how many people that have the 04s had F150s before getting their new trucks.

I had a 98 scab lariat 4x4
02 screw lariat 4x4
still have a 99 reg cab 4x4

Ford trucks rock.

2001 Supercab lariat 4x4 purchased new.

1993 regular cab XLT 4x4 purchased new

1992 regular cab XLT 4x4 purchased new this truck was black and I washed it every day and it was driving me crazy. I only had it 14 months the rest are white ,still really sharp trucks and way easier to keep clean.

I've never had a truck other than a small foreign pickup while in high school (15 years ago?)...and that was so long ago it doesn't even seem to count. Since I was going to buy a new vehicle, I started looking around. My first thought was to get a GM product because I can get GM employee pricing and the factory incentives are very good right now. THEN I saw the new F-150 and that changed everything. I compared the basic elements of all the trucks and the new F-150 sounded really good to me. But I must say, if they had not changed the styling, I wouldn't be buying one. I most likely would have bought a Silverado. I love the new F-150 looks though. That's what brought me over, among other things.

 

96 F150 Lariat 4x4 4.6 Weak engine, and poor handling.

99 F150 XLT 4x4 5.4 Bad head gasket

01 F150 XLT 4x4 5.4 No Problems

04 F150 FX4 5.4 Outside temp sensor and Differential problems aside, I like this one the best. Great power and handling.
