Smile Tracking the slow train

I sure hope the train engineers are getting paid by the hour and not by the mile. I've been tracking the rail car that my truck is on today. It took 12 hours to go 284 miles. ETA to the Ramp in Benicia 7AM Monday Feb 16.

That ain't funny! I'm starting to worry about that a bit....the web page hasn't updated for almost an hour now. Surely the train has passed by some sensors by now!!!

I think I found out what the problem is with your train. I live just south of Pittsburgh, and I coulda sworn that I saw a train pass through here with your truck on it. The engineer was reading a map and looked REALLY confused...scratchin his head and all.

Seriously,I'm sure it's like watching grass grow...you'll have it before you know it.

Lata...

Neil, get a grip!!

Now, run to the nearest person and request a backhand to the face! You have officially lost it!

If there were ever something to worry about in this world, it's not the safety of a freight train.

Let's hope your truck is actually on this train. If not, we may be seeing you on the news.

You are now officially a 2004 F-150 Enthusiast!

Congrats!

melie;
This is for the Union Pacific Rail road: http://c01.my.uprr.com/pet/

I'm don't think UPRR services your area. If BNSF is in your part of the country, I think you have need some sort of password to track their equipment.

You'd also need to get the rail car number from the dealer.

All is well again this morning. The train has passed throught Ogden UT at 8:30 AM MST.

Clem, A little sleep seems to have settled me down a bit. I've come back to reality....at least until there is a long period of time before the next update. I'm not to concerned about the train, but a few years ago one that was carrying a load of Super Duty's derailed. That had to make the poor fellas that had been waiting sick. If this train is routed down the Feather River Canyon, then I have something to worrry about for a few hours. They are always dumping rail cars overboard.

The biggest reason I'm in a hurry to get this truck is because the Dr. released my wife to go back to work a few days ago. She keeps wanting to take MY truck to work. Sorry.........ain't gonna happen. Shes stuck with the old 94 Concorde for a few more days.

quick question

Hey,

When was your truck built? Just trying to find out about when my truck should ship out. Mine was built on 2/09. Didn't start bothering me until I found out it was built. Now I want to know where it is and when I am getting it. Just getting anxious that is all.

Thanks

I wonder if anyone can give a breakdown of the shipping process...

I'm in Canada and mine was built on 02/05, gate released 02/06 and arrived at the dealer 02/13.

That is 7 days.... I would say impressive..
For you guys I would say WTF?!!!
How does the shipping work?

She's still on the move! The train pulled into Sparks NV about 11PM last night, and started rolling again this morning. It is on the west side of Donner Pass now, and it is all down hill from there!!

Unless they hold over in Roseville, I'm betting it will arrive at the ramp right after noon today.
