1/2 Daystar installed

I used the top spacers and new studs and got just the right amount of lift I was looking for

Great looking rig.

When you say 1/2 Daystar, that's 1.75" lift right.

Did you have to cut the bolts or just put washer on or what?

that's about the perfect amount of lift in my opinion.

Its about a 1.5 in lift, I didnt have to cut the bolts or use washers at all. The install was very easy as long as you have the right tools

Can you tell me what part number this is and the overview of the install, I read another thread talking about how it's tough to get the spring retracted back to get these in.

Did you do it yourself?

Thanks

Its the 2 spacers that have the 3 slots in them that go on top, as far as getting the spring compressed back I had no trouble, used a coil compressor at the ford dealership. As long as you can use a decent compressor you will be fine.

What kind of spring compressor did you use? I can't find a compressor that will fit 3/4" wire diameter springs. I plan on doing the top half this weekend. Your truck looked just right!

I have no idea what type it was, I just know it was a wall-mounted one

Any chance of some closer/brighter photos?

That does look good, but just the one pic doesn't quite give me enough of an idea of what it really looks like.

Are those 17" or 18" wheels?

Thanks...

Yea I was typing my reply while you answered. I will probably take my strut assembly someplace and have them compress it and take the top plate off so I can install the longer bolts. 1.5" looks about right and won't compress the cv boots so bad.

I also went ahead and got the cam bolts installed so I could get it aligned and be in factory spec. still.

Its the bolts that holds the lower A-frames, there the exact same but have the eccentrics on it, I believe since 97 you have to purchase these to get it aligned, could be wrong though.

Did it need much of an alignment after the lift?
