The order was messed up and it doesn't have 3 items that were part of the order to the dealer:
--3.73 limited slip - only 3.73
--No bed extender
--No reverse sensing
How easy/expensive for dealer to add these items after the fact? Needless to say I'm trying to balance "whoo hoo" with "WTF?"

Bummer...
Not that it matters at this point, but....
When a dealer places a factory order the factory responds to them with a "Vehicle Order Confirmation" which gives the details of that vehicle. In my case this VOC came the next day and my salesman faxed it me. This is ensure that there's no screw-ups. Yours is the second truck this week that came in wrong. I don't get it.
Now, to answer your questions,
1) The limited slip rear is a pretty expensive proposition and I doubt that they would agree to swap it out. But I could be wrong.
2) The Bed extender is no sweat.
3) From what I've read here, no one has been able to get a dealer installed reverse sensing system. There are several aftermarket kits available.
My guess is that they'll offer to order you another truck which would suck! I barely survived waiting for mine and it only took 5 weeks from order to delivery.
I wish you luck. You may need some.

damn thats a Bummer
--3.73 limited slip - only 3.73 <:you could live without perhaps
--No bed extender <: they likely have some not a problem easy install
--No reverse sensing <:-- that is the best thing since sliced bread
hard install i would imagine new bumper sensors plus dash switch wire harness
i would want huge Bucks for not getting this item

Well, this truck was bought in part for pulling a 7,000 lb boat up some slippery ramps. No limited slip on 4x4 - go figure. Sales guy says order was 'mis-typed' after I presented him with the e-mail copy of the order I placed. Then, they want to charge me $1,600 in aftermarket for $600 worth of items that are added at the factory - and adding those would be half-assed. So, I have:
1)Walked away from this truck (damned hard)
2)Found a new salesman in fleet sales that I should've dealt with in the first place (the internet sales manager had done some legwork for me upfront and said he'd do the same deal...mistake on my part)
3)We are going to see about expediting a new truck order - if you had one that was a screw-up and proof (I did), apparently you can move to the head of the line. Need to confirm this tomorrow.
Told I'm looking at probably 2 weeks. My buddy had a similar screwup with a 2003 and it came in about 1.5 weeks. We'll see - I'd love to buy off the lot, but a 4x4 Lariat with black interior, limited slip in wedgewood blue apparently doesn't exist in SoFla - now a 4x2 is a different story. We'll see tomorrow.
I definitely feel like I'm being laughed at - who'd I pi** off to get this bad Karma!
