bvfd10,

The Truxedo looks good.
I especially like the pic in your second album named "04 vs. 97". That's really good. I wish I had gotten a pic of my '97 XLT Scab with my new one.

How much did that set you back, if you don't mind me asking?

Cool

Hey guys, sorry I haven't gotten back to you sooner.

First of all .. TXCoUnTrYbOy .. the truck is MINE not the FDs. I own a small wholesale beverage business and its actually a "company truck". It's also my everday ride, so I drive it on FD business and to some incidents. (Also has a vhf high band radio with a glass mount antenna). It is also used for hauling the wife and 3 year old.

R6jojofar... As far as the cost, I purchased it from a dealer in Richmond, installed for about 650. I have seen it from 600-799 on the net. Its pretty neat, and really helped remove some of the clutter in the cab, since the S-crew lacks "hidden storage" due to the subwoofer ..etc. Installed in about 45 mins. I did have a bad tool box seal , but Truxcedo sent me a replacement, no questions asked . (the first one had a bad adhesive bond).

I appreciate the nice comments from you all. Also a few days ago, I drove it "code-3" for about 15 hwy miles to returning to town for a fire call, The faster you go, the better it feels, I have never had a truck that felt that good ... going THAT FAST

Thanks for the info. One more question. The main thing I like about this truck over my last tiny S-10 is the ability to get the bike in the back with the gate up (about 2 inches to spare). I'll probably load the bike up about 6 times a year. How long would you say it would take to get the whole shebang off the truck for those six trips? I like the idea of the tool box, but it may not be worth it. Thanks,
