Will the 2005 forum guys give us wedgies?
Am I gonna have to sell my 04 and get a 05 to remain in the "in crowd"?
What did you guys do to the 2003 nerds?

Hey, I am just as curious as the rest of y'al about the '05 changes, but I would hate to see the man loose his job because he was prodded in to revealing more than (perhaps) he should have. I know the cajoling for info is not meant to cause Iz any real grief, but I think we may want to cut Iz a little slack here. Ya never know who is reading these new groups...
Are you listening Ford?

But if instead of posting a comment in a public forum, let's say someone had a (hypothertical) offline conversation with a FMC employee and in turn that person posted comments here, then it would be pretty darn hard to say, with any sort of certainty, exactly where that info came from...

Most other truck sites are divided by significant model changes. This site has a Pre-1997 Models forum, perhaps a new forum would be Pre-2004 Models since the site is geared toward late-model F150s.
It will be interesting to see what happens.
According to
http://www.motortrend.com/future/spi...vf/index2.html
"2005 Ford F-150 : The all-new F-Series truck will be offered with a V-6 engine and manual transmission for 2005 as the model variants continue to roll out."
I'm waiting for 2005 to get the standard transmission!

This wasnt a surprise at all. This was expected. Here is why... they are selling every truck they can make and most of those are premium trim with mondo margin...
cheap-skates can still buy the Heritage 5speed V6 until OTP production ceases.
That gut is not going to get fired.Nothing is changing that dramatic.6 cylinders will be available along with 5-speed manuals.I heard a rumer Ford was going back to a 2 door regular cab because it was costing to much to make the 4 door reg.
