Oh Yeah!!! I'll Be Lifted Tuesday!!!

At Long last the lift kit has finally arrived from pro-comp. That is the 6-inch suspension lift. I have been told one excuse after another as to why the delays on being lifted. The first promise was the 14th of Jan. I'll be running the 17x10 eagle alloy 12 hole high polish wheels (like WELD's stonecrusher) with 35in BFG All Terrains.

Awesome! I'm planning to get the same lift very very soon. Like, as soon as I hear some true feedback about the lift. I don't know anyone who has the lift installed yet. Also, procomp states that 17x10's wont clear. If that's wrong, I'm a happy camper. Good luck!

Everything is good!!! (Long post But worth it)

I picked the truck up at 6:00 this evening. The local lift shop was very impressed with the kit. I think all of the guys there (about 4 techs) individually told me what a terrific kit this was; how beefy the cast iron steering knuckles are, how all the steering and driveshaft geometries stayed close to stock, how sweet the machined solid aluminum blocks are. From What I can tell, Mechanically speaking, the lift Is top notch.
The ride has remained virtually the same. The front is still using the stock coil and shock absorber and the rear has the same springs just blocked up, with the pro-comp 9000 shocks. I had initially thought I got a new coilover with the kit until today when I was notified that it was an upgrade available in about a week. But with the limited off-road use of this truck, for now , I figure the ride is more important for the time being.
This is one bad looking truck. And the way it feels lifted is the epitome of luxury and sport. 1st one in town (Flagstaff, AZ) Cant wait for Exhaust (custom bent Flowmaster 40 series), Intake (air force one), Stereo (twin JL 10W3's), and remote start/alarm (???suggestions???)

Congrats on getting the lift installed Big Ody! Now hurry up and post some pics!

Saw a related post on FTW yesterday from Blown4dr (awesome truck!) regarding the soon to be released mono-tube coilovers:

"Regarding the Pro Comp 6" lift; the reason you see spacers between top of stock coilover and strut tower is because that is Pro Comp's temporary kit until the actual 6" lift- Pro Runner mono-tube coilovers (nitrogen gas stabilized @ 300 psi) are released. "Pro Comp's CNC machined 6061 aluminum coilover shock bodies are 2 3/4" bore, with .875" double hardened chrome rod, Teflon lined spherical bearings at upper and lower mounting points, Viton O-ring seals, sintered metal piston combined with multiple disc valving to assure optimum in control and heat dissipation without relying on the cost and fitment problems associated with smaller bore, reservior style or twin tube shocks." ...end quote.

Nice thing about the rear lift of this kit is that it comes not only with 3" billet aluminum blocks angled for correct driveline geometry, but the MX6 adjustable monotube shocks are great for adjusting to different payloads, terrain, and comfort. I went ahead and got the custom(unreleased) Pro Comp ladder bars to prevent axle windup or driveline binding under heavy load with 4.56 gears, underdrive pullies, Airaid #EVG 400-140, Billy Boat 3" stainless steel cat-back, and SuperChips reflashed PCM for a grand total of 35rwhp gain! Oh, and hell yes I'll dyno test for results as always on my high performance truck and cars! This FX4 was built and modded with towing and some power in mind...very comfortable ride with some darn quiet 35's (Nitto Terra Grapplers)."
