Lariat Owners

I'm about to order a Lariat Supercrew...

1. The wife and I agree on monotone and black interior, but not the exterior color, she wants torreader red, I want black... Any opinions either way..?

2. Should I get the optional Good Year tires?

Thanks.

Congrats on the decision to get a new F-150.....You will love it....I personaly like the solid black (like mine) lol....I did see a torreader red Lariat having the nerf bars installed when i picked up my truck and it was also very sharp....As for the tires i dont think the Goodyear upgrade is worth it so i didnt get it...I have had Goodyear tires on some of my other trucks and although i didnt have any trouble with them they seem kinda soft and wear fast....JMO tho....

I have the Goodyear tires on my truck. They have been extremely capable in navigating all the snow we've had this winter. I don't always use the 4WD because the tires are so good. Worth it? I don't know, but I'm glad I have them.

I'd say get the torreader red. It's a great color second only to my personal choice of Bright Red. However, I'm not real fond of it with the black interior. I think it looks much better with the tan. So in your case, go with the black on black.

As for the tires, I'm with Mudlord. Had them on my '01 Screw also. They're awesome in the snow and ice here in MN.

i have a black on black lariat and i love it. it looks very sharp when wet or clean or at night. if you don't care about how dirty or dusty it can look, go for it. me, i kinda wish i got torreador red. i love my black on black truck, but it gets so dusty so easily i just don't clean it all that often. i can't keep up. the red hides dust better.

as for the goodyears, i got them and they handle like a champ. the whole truck does for that matter. it is raining monkeys and donkeys here in LA (we are way past cats and dogs) and i was just out on the freeway doing 70 MPH with perfect traction. even when I hit those big puddles that slow you down by 10 MPH, the truck felt sturdy and stable the whole time. it may just be because it is a bad *** truck and not necessarily the tires, but I sure like them. they get pretty good traction in the sand too. for a stock tire, they have a decent look to them too.

black lariat

I have the supercrew black lariat with black leather interior. It has a really clean look inside and out. I am very happy with it.
The only thing I would like to change is the grille. My truck is monotone black, with chrome bumpers but still comes standard with arizona beige grille.

Being one who normally buys White. I purchased a black on black Screw Lariat.

You do have to keep up on cleaning it but in my mind when you clean red, its red.... But when you clean black, it's fricken awesome.

I would have never thought we would have a black vehicle but I love it.

Big key is if you have a quality brushless carwash in your area. We have Mike's carwash in our area and they do most of the work for me.....hehehehe

Black looks very sharp both inside and out. However, be prepared to do a lot of cleaning. Black is very hard to keep looking clean especially on the outside. Good luck with your choice and purchase!

I have the torreador red w/tan int. but I think I would go with black if I wanted a black interior. As for the tires, I went with the Goodrich because I was afraid the Goodyears would ride rougher. Now it sounds like Ford is blaming a lot of the ride quality issues on the Goodrich tires, so If I had it to do over I'd have gone with the Goodyear LT's.

KTNC,

I ordered a 4X4 Lariat screw in Arizona Beige monotone w/black leather. Consider a light color. I have a black ML500 now and it never looks clean.

Regards

Mark

I got the Med Wedgewood blue. I haven't seen many of these and it's awsome looking. No matter what the color you will love the truck.

I have torreader red & black interior and love it. Having had black cars/trucks before I don't want that task again!

I also have the Toreador Red with black interior. I'm not sure there's much advantage to either color. They both look kinda messy when they get dirty. The red might show a little less dirt, but I don't think there's much of a difference. It does look nice when it's clean

The black interior is sharp. You'll love it.

Monotone Toreador Red! I have the tan interior, but if I had it to do over again, I would have gotten grey leather.

My second choice was black, but I wouldn't do black on black just as a personal preference.

Thanks for all the input guys...

Well the wife says she would consider Arizona Beige as a compromise, and I agree I think it would go good w/the black interior (which is a must have)... But, I still like the looks of that black on black, is it really that much of a pain to clean, I wash/wax my vehicles often...

Also, any comments from anyone w/ Arizona Beige..?

Thanks
