Dealership Problems?

I am a bit bitter over the way I feel I was treated by my local Ford Dealership...was anyone else upset with the way the process went in making a deal/picking up your '04?

It went from being lied to at the dealership, pushing my pickup date back 4 times in a week, to not having the right accessories on the truck, to trying to chage my interest rate on my loan...etc etc etc!! In retrospect, I dont know why I went through with the deal at that dealership!!

Should end on a good note...I Love my '04 F150 Scab...medium wedgewood blue...baddest truck out there, IMO.

Any one else have similar problems?

Cpt Boom;

Sorry that you got what I would call a "crook" of a dealer. They aren't all like this. I purchase at least one new vehicle each year (business and personal vehicles) and always don't use the same dealerships. I buy from where I get the best deal.

My F150 is coming from a very SMALL town dealer who I've bought from in the past. I don't have it yet, but they do the entire deal on a handshake until it comes time for delivery. Not once, have they changed a figure from their verbal quote.

The only change has been to the delivery date, but that's not something they have control over. They ordered my vehicle with their highest priority (10). It's been in shipment since 1-16-04...

Let your dealer know that you're not happy and what they could do better. If they "blow you off" let them have it on the Ford Customer Survey or call Ford Customer Relations. If you give them a chance to rectify their error(s) and they don't, then make sure Ford knows about them.

BTW - Are you Captain in the Artillery with a handle of captnboom?

Fortunately I did not order my truck...I bought one off the lot that was then "sold" before I could finish the paper work...they found the same truck in Nebraska and drove it out to me.

After repeadetly trying to get ahold of the general manager to discuss my situation, I finally did get the survey and filled it out "honestly." I also wrote a letter to Ford, the BBB, and the dealership...only THEN did they respond to me with three free oil changes for the truck I bought an ESP on and have already paid for my oil changes for the next 36000 miles!! Oh, and the oil change coupons had an expiration date of less than a year on them!! Haha!! Thanks, but no thanks...sent them back to the dealer and asked them to get a life in a nice sort of way! I am never bringing my truck back to that dealership...for all I know, they could freakin' lose my truck while performing the oil change!!

But I am not bitter!!!

Oh, and no I am not in the military, that name came from some friends screwing around a long time ago...it just sorta stuck for all my online accounts, etc.
