Well, there's no point in worrying about it. My guess is that you did no damage, and might even have done it some good.

I wouldn't stress out about it too much. I've had people at two different Ford dealers tell me no special break in was required other than not towing for 500 miles or whatever it says in the owners manual. It sounds unatural and wrong to me, but that's what they told me.

After it warmed up I did a short sprint every time I drove it through the first 1000 miles. I read somewhere that it's actually good for the engine. 100 miles hasn't even busted your truck's cherry.

Heh heh.. What comes around goes around..

Seriously though. You didn't hurt a thing. I break them in hard myself and have had No problems at all so far.

I'm kinda glad I ordered my truck though. I think it had 6 miles on it when I got it. My luck though someone bounced it off the rev limiter too.

Oh i took er cherry, like all my loves, it has 1300kms on it now, went on ski trip 3 days after i got the truck, will be putting about 1400kms on it next weekend, i read your supposed to vary your engine RPM's so it doesn't see 1500RPM for hours at a time during the breakin period

I too break mine in hard. I drive it the first mile like I will be driving it the 100,000th mile.

I bought mine from dealer inventory, but it hadn't even made it to the lot technically. I went in and told them what I wanted and it had just come in that morning. They hadn't taken any of the "wrappings" off it when I stepped into it. It had about 5 miles on it.

Got 1500 now and have loved every minute of it.
