Cool Your fastest Speed?

This may come across to some as not a very wise question... however I'm willing to bet most of us Guys have mashed the peddle to the floor after the recommended break-in period, not surprising mine has buzzed up to 90 mph rather quickly with a 4.6 just wondered what the 5.4 is like.....

I plead the 5th also, however , I will tell you that there is a speed limiter and you can reach it quickly. Not that I would have any first hand experience....

I had an AVERAGE speed of 82 heading across MO. Had the cruise set at 84 for a couple hours. Pulling a trailer and a bed full of stuff. Felt like I was going 55. Hell, I didn't even bother slowing down for the turns! I love this truck.

Averaged 11mpg though..

Nice times. I was talking about on the highway. 110 is my best trap in the 1/4.

Very stable and still quiet. Don't try this at home kids.

Mine kicked off at about 100mph, if the limiter is at 98 then I'm sure the road angle or hills etc can make the couple of mile an hour difference. in anycase it had plenty of more guts to go.

I test drove a truck with 57kms on it, i got it on the highway and put er down, governed at 100mph. I said, i wouldn't buy this truck now after what i just did, well, fate is funny sometimes, i ended up trading in my cougar and buying that exact truck. now i feel bad about it, I hope i won't see problems down the road from my ignorance.....
