Thumbs up MY 4.6 HAS 1900 MILES

My truck operates more like a Space Ship.... I use some fuel accelerating... to get rolling, Once I'm moving along the momentum keeps it going without any more gas peddle needed... at this point I only use the brake to slow or stop the truck... how ever it seems like somewhere around 80 or 90 miles to the gallon... I'll find out and post it later... mines a 4.6 with a 355 ratio min slip axle

With 6600 miles on my STX 4.6 I'm still getting around 17mpg in town and as high as 23.5 on the highway.

I know all of you guys know how to drive and please don't flame me for saying this but for those of you that use the cruise control set button to get to highway speed, that will get you really bad fuel mileage.

I have found that slowly gaining speed until reaching cruising speed and then setting the cruise control uses a lot less fuel.

Of course living in a small town where there are no freeways to deal with also helps.

I have been thinking about a Borla exhaust also. I have heard that it might help a little.
Disconnect the battery cables for at least 15 minutes. It will reset your computer and it will have to relearn your "driving habits". Its worth a shot!
