Question 35'' BFG's

I have a FX4 with the 2.5'' kit and i'm trying to find out if the 35 x 12.5 BFG's will fit without any rubbing. I'm sure that y'all have talked about it before but I am new. Please help

Im sorry, but I dont know where the thread is that this was discussed but the answer to you question is no. As I recall the largest tire size with the daystar 2.5" lift is 33". But one person did install 35" tires but he said he had to cut some of the fender in the rear of the front wheel wells. His truck was a 2WD so that might be OK, but for a 4WD I dont think I would do it because it would still hit on large bumps and scrub in the twisty stuff. If you want 35s on your truck you might want to install a body lift or a suspension lift along with the daystars. Hope this helps.

I think I've read somewhere on here that you could go to a 34.xx" overall with the 2.5" spacers...thats what I'm planning on...

This was the biggest I've seen talked about. Tire size is 325/60/20 which equals out to be a 35.4x12.8. He has the Daystar and he also raised the rear as well 1 inch (but this wouldn't effeect rubbing issues if not).
Daystar claims it will fit 35's but I have seen one issue where it did rub seriously. (search "35 did not fit"). I think with this setup, it is really critical to get the right application wheel offset/backspacing to ensure no rubbing.

I'm not sure, but I would believe the BFG 315/70/17 would fit on an 17"x8" wheel. The wheel width makes a big difference on fit. I believe the guy who said his 35s rubbed had them mounted on 20"x10"s. I was looking for the BFG T/As in a 305/70/17. I know I seen them listed on tirerack.com about 6 months ago, but not any more.

I agree, the 10 inch wide rim was probably the problem.

325/55/22 with only a 2" lift can be done...

I have seen this Performance West Group show truck and can confirm they were able to mount the massive (36.1" x 12.8") BFG G-Force tires on 22" x 10" Oasis wheels with just a 2" RevTek spring spacer kit (similar to the Daystar) in the front. What I couldn't see, because of the Xenon body kit, was how much metal was cut. My suspicion is, some metal was shaved behind the front tires on the inside of the wheel wells, and then hidden by the flares. Very cool truck BTW. With the Xenon body kit, the tires did not stick out beyond the flares and stuffed the wheel wells nicely. Stouter looking setup in person, than the photo reveals.

I have the 18'' wheels and the selection of tires pretty much sucks. I like the BFG 35x12.5x18 and daystar claims to be able to fit 35's. But I want to know for sure before i spend $300 each on them. If anybody knows please reply.

the stock 18s are too narrow to fit those tires. sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but it is true. they are an inch too narrow.

check out the BFG MT sizing chart here.
