Thumbs up New Power Control Module

Just 380 miles and 12 days in the shop, I got my truck back from ford. The problem started during our record low 0 degree temps. I got in the truck turned the key and nothing happened, just a click sound from the fuel pump. All electrical functioned perfect, battery,etc.... I waited till the temps got to 30......started up perfectly. Next day same thing. I drove it to ford and of course after hooking it up to the computer at the garage they said everything was perfect. I drove it home, tried to start it the next day and nothing. Called Ford roadside who came 6 hours late and made them tow it to the dealer. It was not until then that Ford took me serious. This one totally stumped the technicians as they claim it has not happened before. Ford Motor Company Engineers would not authorize the replacement of the powertrain control module because they said all was well. The dealer finally persuaded ford to send module and so far the truck has started fine. They also had to program new keys for the new module. I have F-100's, F-250's, 450's, 700's and never have had any problems in 25 years owning Fords aside from routine repairs, If you should experience this problem please take my advice, call roadside and tell them to come and get it, its more of a incentive to take you seriously.

After driving my truck off the lot. (The dealer let me test drive it over the weekend, no deposit or nothing I thought that was cool considering I am 18 ) The next morning when I went to start it, nothing happened. I went inside for a while, came out and still nothing. Same things happened which happened in your truck. So after attempting to start it later, it started again fine. Drove it all day. Next day, did the same damn thing. Went in to buy the truck on the Monday, started fine, but asked them to check it over before I stroked a check. They said they couldn't replace anything since they couldn't find the problem. I thought it was just a loose connection but whatever. In the process of working on my truck the retarded technician didn't put anything to protect the paint of the truck while leaning over the side of it and there are some annoying swirl marks in the paint thanks to his zipper

Since that incident, the truck hasn't done it again. I believe the problem was the truck was just frosted up. It was no warmer than -20 for weeks before the purchase. After washing it and keeping it in the bobcat shop for a few days seemed to do it good.
