Freeway kit.

I just put my freeway kit in last night. Its pretty cool, definately gives more storage space. I like the litttle snake lights, I already have one at home that size. The kit came with two new bins, and three inserts; first aid kit, cd holder, snakelights and holder. I like the look of the exposed rails, but these are pretty handy to have, plus the rails still show in the back a little. I guess I am used to being in the truck without them, so it feels a little more snug inside now. I feel like the driver and passenger are more divided then before by the buckets and flow through console. But I should get used to that pretty quick. Dealer gave me a hundred dollars to spend there, since the finance dept annoyed me. The kit only cost me $57 after they paid their portion. I also got front windows tinted to match the back, and my Silverstars will be here today.

What % or grade tint did they use to match the rear?

The sliverstars are for the front turn signals. I don't think they make them for anything else right now. The tint is called the ultimate series. It is mettalized not dyed. This means it won't fade, I have used it on four of my vehicles. The rears are 20% from factory, meaning they block 80% of the light. The fronts are roughly 92% which means they block 8% of the light. Basically just reduces glare and UV. The tint I used is roughly 28% which blocks 72% of the light, but that on top of the 8% the factory was blocking = roughly 20%. After installed when measured it should read 21-22%. From the outside it will tend to look lighter to the human eye, since there is so much light coming in from the windshield. But on the inside it is a good match. The darknesses from the front to back are close, the only thing I notice is every once and a while when the light hits it right, the colors of trees and objects on the outside look a shade different when looking through the front and back windows while sitting inside.
