I had forgotton what factory was till I took mine off of the 2000 F150 for trade in. I can't believe the difference air makes. An excellent mod. for the money if you ask me.

Hi.
I was wondering just what the intake kit contained and what it does to the truck? What does the truck sound like? and do you need to change th exhaust system? Also how much? and was it easy to install?

Where did you bye it ? Does it improve your gas mileage? and do you notice the diferance in horsepower?

Sorry about all the questions. If it saves gas it will pay for it self and I'm going to order this ASAP. I was looking at the airforce intake today and I was wondering if there a differance between the two?

Thanks in advance for your help!!!!

Trplplaysss:

One more question if I could. Under normal acceleration and driving, is the Airaid system equal in noise levels to stock or noticeably louder? Also, (I guess that makes 2 questions) where did you get it for $260.? Quick searches I have done has turned up pricing in the $300. to $350. range

Thanks, Screwdrive

QUESTION - All this talk about replacement air filters and so on...are we talking about a replacement that installs directly into the factory air filter box? Or are you talking about reomving the old air filter box and replacing that entire system? I might be interested in replacing the filter with a better filter, but I don't want to alter anything else. I did see a direct replacement for the factory filter on that site. That would be something I can go for.

I am definitely wanting to upgrade the cold air intake on my Screw, I am leaning towards buying the Airaid Intake for my 5.4.

My local truck accessory dealer just told me about AEM Brute Force air intake system # 21-8107, he claims AEM produces more HP, anybody have any experience with AEM products?

I think they are designed to work with the factory settings. You shouldn't have a problem with or without a chip.
