Im sure dodge did eveything possible to give the Dodge the advatange....I wouldnt be surprised if they used a 4.6 4X4 with 3.55 gears against a hemi 4X2 with 3.92's

Advertisements like that are almost always rigged to the benefit of the advertiser. Take what you saw with a grain of salt. IMHO, what you see in TV ads don't mean squat.

you know that commercial is fake because the f 150 would beat it in a towing race. It really doesnt matter because i have never seen trucks racing with trailers at the drag strip. 375 HP doesn't mean sh*t when you have a crappy transmission.

My friend just got a HEMI and we are gonna dyno it at a local shop. I bet the f 150's dyno runs show more rear wheel HP and torque. I'll post the results.

As someone else once said in this forum: That's an awful lot of bragging to be the number 4 truck. Or something like that.

Just to play devil's advocate...........

Did anyone ever notice on the Ford commercial that in the fine print it says it has the most low end tq, (1000 rpm's). That is on the low end, I'll give them that.

I still like the Ford more than the Dodge.

as long as it's a dodge vehicle, it won't be worth owning

I haven't seen a Dodge commercial where the Hemi wins. I saw the new F-150 pulling a Mustang and it raced a Hemi Ram pulling a Hemi Charger. It was a Ford commercial so of course the F-150 won. Really cool commercial I thought. It was cool since Dodge had the same style commercial a while back when the guy in the car asks if that's a hemi (talking about the car on the trailer). After the truck blows away the car, the Dodge guy says the truck has a hemi too.

The 1500 Hemi is faster towing then a F150 with the 5.4L but it depends on what part of the race your watching.

The Ford is quicker off the line with a tow but the Dodge is after once it gets moving. That's the reason the Ford commerical shows the start of a race where the Dodge commerical shows the finish line.
