Dealer Haggling

Just curious of the deals people were getting in relationship to dealer invoice when ordering their trucks. I ordered at dealer invoice. I am aware of dealer holdbacks and wanted to know how much lower I could have gotten it for.

I didn't haggle because I thought it was a fair price. I understand they are in the market to make money. The dealership is Blue Oval Certified so they make 4.25%

My truck listed at $30,650. I bought it at xplan for $27,125. Plus I got Ford Loyalty cash $1000 and $500 Christmas cash and I was still able to get the 1.9% financing through Ford.

I will order mine in about 5 more weeks, but I already settled on a price with the dealer. Here's what I'm getting:

2004 F-150 LARIAT, SUPER CAB, 4x4, 6 1/2' BED (STYLESIDE) - $33,195 BASE PRICE
All Standard equipment, plus (MSRP prices):
- Two-Tone paint - Black w/Arizona Beige paint, w/Tan leather interior - $225.
- Reverse sensing system - $245
- Trailer tow package - $350
- Black platform running boards - $250
- 35.7 gallon fuel tank - $95
- 3.73 Limited slip axle $285

*** Prices may be a few dollars off ***
TOTALS (includes $52 for fuel & $295 FDAF):
$35,155 - MSRP (with $795 freight)
$31,067 - X Plan
$31,132 - Invoice

Here's what I'm paying:

PRICE BREAKDOWN FOR X PLAN:
$35,155 MSRP Price
$31,067 X Plan Price
- $500 $500 below X Plan (my offer)
- $1,000 Ford Rebate (as of 1/12/04)
= $29,567 Total before tax
+ $1,774 Tax - KY 6%
$31,341 TOTAL

I didn't take my deal to others dealers to haggle, so I imagine I could knock off a few hundred more, but I don't want to fool with it. I like the salesman and dealer where I made this offer.

invoice

I was suppose to get mine for 200 over invoice. But Since they messed up with not checking and it got held up for 2 weeks
I get my running boards(FORD) free. they will ship to our house
so I really get it for invoice because the boards are 200 something cost. Not bad but I would rather have the truck and gladly pay the extra 200 dollars.

hope this helps

Got mine for two hundred under invoice. They also threw
in the Ford nerf bars and Ford bedliner. Did the financing
at 1.9%. They however got me on the trade in I know I
could have gotten more for my car, but my wife said I had to keep
the payments within reason and I could not sell the car in the time frame I needed to take delivery of the truck.

Nope it was a toyota corolla, but like I said I took a bath on the trade in. All in all if I would have been able to sell the car outright I would have been able to come with a pretty good deal. I orginally got the deal on a 04 heritage with a 4.6 but my friend
told me to go with the 5.4 and loose the heritage and get the new body style. I am so glad I did. They told me they would give me the same deal on this but I would have to pay for the nerf bars and bedliner. They never added it to the cost of the truck and I never said anything so I came out good there. Just wish I would have been able to sell mu car and use that money to out down on the truck instead of trading it in and not getting what I owed on it.
