Bet you would say the same thing about the motorhome. Why in the world get a Freightliner when you could get a Ford? The air ride suspencion, allison trans, cat motor, air brakes are all overated!!! Makes no since. Ever pull a trailer with not enough brakes? thats what you get with the ford. Every single ford lacks in the braking dept. Oh, and for hauling stuff around the doors open up nice and wide in the Dodge and the back seat folds up and a nice tray makes for a flat floor. Great for hauling boxes around. Not to mention all the storage compartments that are in the Dodge and Chevy. And the dodge has the power, will outrun any ford comprable in price.
Still got the Ford in the pic, and a sporttrac and f250. Each serves its purpose in the best manner.

Dean, we actually looked at the Supercrewzer before we purchased our freightliner FL-60 in 2002 but do to the length of the truck the truck-trailer combo would not fit in the warehouse. The mirrors were also a complaint, not quite wide enough to be optimal. Also, the Tax on the Ford was a considerable amount higher due to the fact of the bed and 3 hitches that were included. They are a sharp looking truck though!
Now if they will start making the trucks with IFS like they do on the motorhome chassis, but with the motor in the front they have far less room to play with.
What exactly is your point?
I've re-read this post twice and come up empty.
P.S. - The motor is in the front of that white truck you posted, too.
Keep that in mind if you have to check the oil level.
