odometer

How does one get the trip odometer to stay on each time you turn the truck off then back on? My 03 would stay in the trip odometer mode unless you changed it. This is driving me crazy having to push the button each time I get in to reset it to see trip mileage.

Mine stays on whatever setting I set it to... MPG, TRIP, TRIP TIME, or TEMP.

This sounds crazy...

In my FX4 it will stay on trip if I am out of the vehicle a short time.

If I am out for a couple of hours, it will ge back to ODO.

If you have the mini computer it will change back.
If you have the full computer it will stay where you put it.
I think Lariat is only one with full computer.

I have the short time/long time thing too. Each day I have to set it back. I just forget about now and leave it on odometer. I only use it to figure how many more miles I can push it before I need to gas up.
