Good Luck D2. I also have a Chevy 2002 crew 2500hd. I like it fine. I have had a few computer related problems so far. It locked my wife I out while the engine running and heat cranked and my 1 year old in his car seat, while we were up on a snowy mountain road miles from anywhere. I had to bust a window out to rescue my kid and the truck. The cruise control stopped working on another occasion. It is now starting to ride a little soft especially compared to my 04 F150. The 6.0L loves fuel and it does not seem that quick to me. Overall, it is a nice truck and now it is mostly my wife's, so, even better.

He was posting his thread to inform us that he came to his decision, and he posted reasons as to why the GMC was better for him, I have never once see him say that GMC is better for everyone and Ford is bad. He even made a point to say that all of your Ford F-150's are kick *** trucks too. Trolling? No way bud.

For not really caring about what he does you sure seem to take offense at him being here. God forbid someone have an independent thought and make an educated decision that is right for him.

Why dont you just go ahead and come right out and say it? Tell him to not let the door hit him in the *** on his way out. Go back to the schoolyard you came from TruBlu, he has as much right to be on this board as you do.

Lighten up and pull that stick out of your *** TruBlu, you'll be a much happier and more relaxed person.

Going to have to go with TruBlu on this.

This is a Ford forum. Truck loyalty runs deep, not unlike passion for ones favorite football or baseball team.

What would you plan to gain by posting on a Raiders forum how you carfeully evaluated their team roster and decided that you are going to root for the Patriots in 2004? It's just begging for a big

and this time I don't even have beer in me....

Boy you cant let anything go can you? Out of my 170 posts (actually more but some got deleted from server maintenance, other members were participating in some "post padding" in the General Discussion Forum) this is probably the ONLY post that could be construed as trolling.

It was a one time mistake that I explained and apologized for. True "trolls" stir up trouble and typically never respond back, they are also users that have a handful of posts at the very most.

I dont think I fit into that category and there are many great members of F-150 Online who will back me up on this. I've made alot of friends here from simply doing my best to help someone out. See for yourself man, do a search on my username and check out the posts that I make.

Sure truck loyalty runs deep, but come on...its just a truck. Cant we all be adults here? d2alio didnt deserve the response he got from TruBluScru. Take a look at the other user's responses and the least that TruBluScru could have done is acted maturely like everyone else.

I'm with TRUBLU and FX4 on this one all of the way. It's nice that D2 got the truck that was RIGHT for him. I just think that he should post it on a Chev/GMC forum. Basically, GM has to sell their 5 year old design at a steep discount just to move them.
Price was probably a major factor in his decision.

Thanks for the link trublusrcu, i had forgotten about that one. People can spend money on what they want, but why post here about a purchase of a competitor. Attention freaks i guess.

When someone who's considering buying a Ford truck goes out and buys a GM, the average IQ of both groups increases.

I too drove them all before purchasing my Lariat Screw. In my opinon, the ONLY area the GM beat the Ford was the seats. The GM seats were more comfortable to sit in, but the Ford is much more comfortable to drive . Since this is a truck and not a barcolounger, I'm pretty confident I made the right choice.

When you state that Ford's are a kick-*** truck too, you're implying that GM has a kick-*** truck. In my experience this is just not the case. I sometimes think that GM decides which plastic to use on their interiors by rubbing pieces of it together. Whatever makes the most noise wins.

Good luck with your GM, if it's anything like some of them that I've owned, you'll need it.

congrats d2alio,you did what every truck buyer should do.i think there are alot of guys on this board that are regretting jumping through their *** to buy the new Ford instead of waiting for a year or two.

glad you made a choice that was right for -you-, not others

I tend to over-shop and over analyze most every purchase. I didn't shop the truck as much as most things for many reasons, but I did compare to all others. (with the exception of the Titan because I can't stand the way it looks!)

A couple of things surprise me about your reasons, and frankly the comparisons. I chose not to go with the Chevy/GMC product because there was no 4-door 1500 (at least not yet) for 2004.

I think the 2500 would more acurately be compared to the Super Duty series, not the F150.

Better ride? Mmm...that one surprised me too. I know that I'm not crazy about the seats in my Lariat, but the 2500 suspension and therefore "ride" is much stiffer and can't compare to the F150. Again, this is my opinion, your mileage may vary.

Regardless, thanks for sharing your opinions. I trust we'll not see you again until the GMC gets old and you try to come back from the dark side.

I thought the seats were better also, until they started to break down so soon. Now they are like sitting on a flat worn-out couch and the truck is only 11 months old. I'll keep my Lightnings' seats.

Well, I can see points on both sides here, But I don't see him as a troll, He gave an honest comparison as he sees the different trucks and posted them here for us.

It's kinda like comparing why you like Air Force one over K and N, or why you like Flowmasters instead of Magnaflow.

My Dad has a 2003 Chevy and I have a 2001 SCREW. I can see good and bad things about both of them. Like I can see and change all the plugs normally on his

He didn't say Fords suck, he just said he chose the Chevy instead, give the guy a break, some of you act like he talked bad about you mommas or wives or something
