AstroStart Remote Starter

Does anyone have any experience with this
Remote Starter/Alarm on the 04?

The Ford Dealership I use does not install alarms, they have a custom installer come into the dealership to install them.

The alarm the dealership offered me was Model# 2106 XR
The price seemed quite high for the 2106 XR without an Alarm!!!

I can't seem to find a Ford Dealer who installs the Ford Bronze/Silver/Gold series Remote Starter/Alarm that uses the Powercode Technology.

Every dealer I've contacted refers me to a custom shop....???

Anyone in the NewEngland area have the Gold alarm put in by a Ford dealership?

Same here

Both dealers in my area referred me to 3rd party installers. I get Ford parts and service at cost so it kind of sucks to have to pay some other guy more money to install a Ford part. Oh well, I still save money.

It does kind of suck. Seems strange there are no dealers installing them. Ford has made some kind of agreement with Code Alarm to provide a quality product. Can your dealer not tell you who offers this service? I saved some by buying it at parts and having them install it. Nice to know it is covered by the same ford warranty as is the truck.
