Wow!

first driving day today, first impressions were well above my expectations---handled superb----drove 50 Interstate miles with undeniable pleasure---you go 80 and I swear you think it is 55--absolutely no shudders, vibrations, quirks of any kind (knock on wood)-- kids watched Finding Nemo on DVD, which is a very nice system---great sound with Audiophile---very much impressed with Audiophile---lots of bass---could not be any happier at present time---well worth the wait---how anyone could pick any other truck as truck of the year is beyond my imagination---you feel the solidness of this truck---and how anybody could want any more HP than what this had is curious as well--more than enough for me------driving up a steep mtn here in WV, you just stomp it and you are at 85 in seconds----excellent ride---many thanks for all of you in KC-------

Line X and remote start/security system this week
pics soon

was it that obvious??

only complaint was with F and I guy, (at least I guess thats who tried to bone me) they ran my numbers, which I already knew up and down because I have the A Plan---I paid some down to go with 36 months---well he comes back and says, "we have you lined up for 3.9 for 36 months and ready to go" well I said it has been 1.9 for over a month now, and still is today, because I checked this morning---he said no, it is 3.9---I told him to check Fordvehicles----well he told me real quick and real subtle that their computer must not have been updated b/c he checked and thats what it was on the site, just not on their computer----I mean, this is their FREAKIN' business, how could he not know the damn rates---really made me hot that he tried to slip that in there

I still and probably always will hate the car business. I know there are some honest guys/gals out there, but I just haven't dealt with them yet. But, I must say that the lady I'm dealing with right now is the best so far. Of course, she sent me the breakdown of pricing for my vehicle and some of the MSRP/Invoice pricing went up. She said that the prices may have changed recently and that online auto sites may not have current info. True or not, I told her I wouldn't accept the new pricing and that she'd have to make up the difference. And with her manager's approval, she did! It's nice to see them work WITH me for a change.

Question -- do you know which remote start you're going to put in? Getting it at a local shop or a chain? I'm curious as this is something I am going to add once I get my truck. I'd just like to know what others are putting in and how much it's costing. Also ... (after you get it) ... do you like it?

Dude, dont even get me started with the hassle I had with Sales at my dealership...sold me an "already sold truck," pushed back my delivery date a week (the truck was already in my state), forgot to put on my accessories, nerf bar, bug shield, did the same thing to me with the interest rate, then lost my keys when I went to pick it up. I finally wrote a letter to the owners of the dealership and they "want to help me in any way they can to achieve my complete satisfaction!" I told them, free oil changes, seat covers, etc etc. They havent gotten back to me.

Supposedly, this dealership is going for the "gold award" being one of the top 5 ford dealers in the state and want me to fill out 100% satisfied on their ratings they are mailing me...I told the owners straight up, I will fill out 5% satisfied with my service unless you make me happy!!

The salesman that used me in the deal on my F-150 had an awshucks style to him. Was overly mannerly, in the style of a southern gentleman, to my gf who accompanied me on the first trip to the dealership. He turned out, however, to be as slimy as any salesman I've ever known.

During the negotiations, he popped up with a $750 rebate for military personnel (I'm retired). He made a big thing about how he'd "found" this rebate by working so tirelessly for me. He told me that this rebate would be mailed to me, "in two or three weeks." The rebate never arrived, of course. After six weeks I started calling him. I left messages on his voice mail that were not returned. Finally, after several attempts having him paged, I got him online. He couldn't remember ever telling me about the rebate, and asked me to prompt him on what he'd said to me about it. After doing so in some detail, he said well let me look into this. He called me back in a couple of hours and told me that I had already received more rebate than they were authorized, and that the military rebate would not have been authorized so he couldn't understand why he would have offered such a thing to me.

I'm pretty sure he ripped me off on the rebate. Our "relationship" had soured during the delivery process, when my truck was delivered to me with a cracked right side mirror, damage to the ac radiator in the front of the truck, and it was filthy. I complained about these things, and insisted they replace the mirror, which they ultimately did (two days later) by removing a mirror from an identical truck and installing on mine. After that, his southern manners went into hibernation and he forgot about the military rebate.

I love the truck, but this guy and his dealership have sold me the last vehicle I'll ever buy from them.

I realize that I started out with a sour attitude towards car salesmen, and that this attitude colored my expectations of him. I automatically expect to be ripped off by car salesmen. Buying a car is one of the most distasteful things I ever do. I wish there were some better way of doing it that sidestepped the scaley sales staff, but I reckon there is not.

mine was the exact same way--very worried about the survey though-----I know these people are caught between a rock and a hard place b/c they have to make us feel like they have given us the best deal in the world and that we "stole" the vehicle,,yet at the same time turn a profit---I think they resort to subtle ways of taking extra---I would say that the $400 extra for the 3.9 would have went straight to them b/c the bank would have gotten the 1.9----then they act stupid and save face---got to do your homework---I am almost sure they took me elsewhere, I just dont know it
