Board Newbie

First about myself

6’4” – 285 lbs
Old-timer – 1941
Ex North Dakota – now living in Minnesota
Retired and love it

My Ride

2004 F-150 4x4, Lariat, Scab, Toreador Red – Solid, 40-20-40 heated leather seats, tan interior, 6’5” box, 18” wheels, 35.7 gal gas tank, trailer tow package, audiophile and Ford platform running boards. Bottom line $35,500 including tax and license

TruXedo cover, Husky solid mud flaps, and Husky floor mats are aftermarket add-ons.

No pictures yet, will post some later.

Picked up vehicle Oct 5th, 2003, 1,500 miles currently. Leaving Monday for a 4,000 mile Trip, (going South to get warm). Well be a good test for mileage, ride and etc. So far I have no complaints. The seats feel great, as you can see I’m a big guy so if they ride good for me, they should for anyone. Paint job is great, no flaws anywhere. Put the paint Sealant on. This is the fourth F-150 I’ve owned in Minnesota and believe me, the paint sealer is worth the money, (they like salt on the roads up here). The radio rocks, it would take a very expensive aftermarket unit to compare. This is without a doubt the best riding and quietist pickup I have ever ridden in, bar none.

There are a couple of extras that Ford should have offered
1. Satellite Radio
2. Navigation unit
Other than those two items, the F-150’s are very well equipped.

Been reading this board since October. It has been an excellent source for information that you would be hard pressed to find anywhere else. Keep up the good work.

XNODAK, Welcome.

I'm a fairly new-comer myself.

Glad to see I'm not the oldest guy here, me 1949.

I'm sort of a newbie myself XN, but welcome!

I agree with you, this board is excellent. Good folks and alot of knowledge floating around.

Big range of ages buying the new F150 too. My guess from this board is 25 - 75. Not too many vehicles cover that demographic!

Good to see the previous generation so into their trucks. 23 year old here and loving the fact there are guys with experience out there to help me from making mistakes that you guys already have. Thanks again for all the tips I've been getting from you all.
