Does Line-X fade?

I just got my truck Monday night and would really like to get my Line-X sprayed in soon...but was just wondering what I could expect in terms of fading over the course of time?

I know it will fade to some degree, but will it still look half-way decent after say 3 years or so?

Any experiences?

Thanks,
E

Will depend on if the truck is garaged or sits outside. Outside 1 1/2 to 2 years it will be faded. Garaged 3 to 5 years it will be faded. You can take it in after it fades and have a new top coating applied to make it shine again.

As you said, a certain amount of fading is to be expected. However, there is a top-coat application that can be applied to the Line-X and I think it's called Endura Gloss. When I had my liner sprayed, this was included in the installation but some dealers may charge an additional $50-$100 for it. You may wanna check into that.

Also, there's a $20 off coupon on the website.

I had a drop in liner in my 2000 XLT and an ARE hard tonneau cover. The liner looked like new after 4 yrs. I believe any liner srayed-in or drop-in will fade over time if left uncovered IMO.

Had Line-X installed on my truck nearly five years ago and it faded.

My hair is thinner and I'm using a different hole on my belt too.

If you're worried about fading i think you'd be happier with a bedrug and a rubber mat on top for the heavy hauling.
