Seat belt beep

Got my truck in a few weeks ago, very very awsome. Have been nothing but happy with the ride and power difference. Could go on and on about why it is the best truck on the road.
Only thing I have found that doesn't suit me is the seat belt buzzer, excellent reminder I guess, but just don't like it.
would it be OK to get into the wiring harness to the latch and just short the wires to show the computer a closed circuit, or will that mess with anything else?
Also, the Doors automatically locking, don't have kids, not important to me to have doors that lock when I take off. Have to hit the unlock button for back seat passengers, and unlock the truck everytime I get out to get in the back seat...
Just wondering if anyone else is running into this too, know what to do?
Thanks for your time

Just got mine yesterday and when reading the owners manual there is a section regarding the door locks. Check it out.

Buckle up like the law and common sense requires and you won't have a problem.

Most new cars deploy the airbag in different ways depending on whether or not you are using the seatbelt. You should read the owners manual or buckle your seatbelt before you turn on the car.
