I know FoMoCo takes that stuff pretty seriously...have you contacted them...they have a dealer complaint line...I had so many problems with my dealer...I actually got compensation from Ford and the dealer...and it wasn't close to what you are going through

If I were you I would cancel the order all together! I've been in the AF for 14 years and I've never heard of anyone having a good experience with AAFES car sales (E-mail me if you want details). If you have more than 1 year left on your tour and haven't shipped over a car yet you can come back to the states and buy a new truck and ship it back on your original orders! Just call TMO at Mildenhall for the details!

Bottom Line is you couldn't pay me to buy a car from AAFES!!!!!

Contact Ford as Fasteddy states. Since this is a reflection of Ford
and now you have brought this to a site like this I would imagine that has gotten you some type of leverage. I know others have stated that you should hold out and I think someone sataed that that you should ask for 5k off but I guess what is this worth for you. I would if it were me get a District manager on up involved and not offer them a suggestion as to what you expect in compensation. If the district manager does not compensate you to your satisfaction coutinue upwards. Also do not forget the pwoer of the press. This would make a interesting article as to how our overseas men and women are being treated by big business. Good luck and Thank you for all you do.

They didn't even offer you the premium care warranty? What a bunch of BS. I would say "Is that the best you can do, I'm going to call corporate customer service and my lawyer" and see what that gets you. I can tell you are trying to be nice about this, but you deserve better man.....

Just came back from a meeting with the regional manager and talked to some folks from NY on the phone...Bottom line is the 7/75 extra care plan is all they're willing to give in the way of compensation. The salesman has been let go, my order is in and correct, my rebate just went up to $2500, so other than being a little greedy and wanting more...

Eagle Keeper - I thought long and hard before ordering from those clowns at AAFES, but in the end I'm getting a decent price and my truck will be waiting for me in June when I get off the plane. I've been doing this for 16 years and I've really never heard of anyone having trouble with AAFES car sales. The biggest mistake I can see is that I went to the wrong salesperson. I had 3 or 4 other guys at work order from the salesperson I'm with now and they had no problems, they even warned me to stay away from this jacka$$ but I didn't listen. I figured I knew exactly what I wanted so all I needed was for him to put the order through...couldn't be too hard right!?

Thayer,

What’s to stop this guy from doing it again to you with some other type of purchase? He could be out buying things with your name on it right now. I would be talking to your legal department ASAP. This is not something to brush aside this man has stolen your identity and forged your name. Do you really think he is going to stop here?

Check this out….

Forgery in the second degree.
(a) A person commits the crime of forgery in the second degree if, with intent to defraud, he falsely makes, completes or alters a written instrument which is or purports to be, or which is calculated to become or to represent if completed:
(1) A deed, will, codicil, contract, assignment or a check, draft, note or other commercial instrument which does or may evidence, create, transfer, terminate or otherwise affect a legal right, interest, obligation or status; or
(2) A public record, or an instrument filed or required or authorized by law to be filed in a public office or with a public employee; or
(3) A written instrument officially issued or created by a public office, public employees or government agency.
(b) Forgery in the second degree is a Class C felony.

If forging a signature is all it takes to steal one's identity then we're all screwed. The other problem I run into is this is happening in England and I'm not as familiar with how their legal system works in these matters. I'm still pursuing the matter through legal channels on base but I don't know what else will come of it.

I was offered a 7/75 Ford Extra-Care ESP with $50 deductible as compensation for the dumb a$$ salesman.
they should make it 7/100 Premium Care with $50 deductible and then that would be fair. Extra Care? how weak...
