Running boards aftermarket search

Hi Guys and Gals, I have a bright red 2004 F150 4x4 Bright Red, XL. I am wondering if there is an aftermarket running board out there for my truck that does not require pre drilling before installation. The tubular steps I gather do not require pre- drilling. Is the width of the tubular style adeqete for exit and entry? The Ford ones are nice but after purchase prices are high for me. Thank's, Alan Oh, I love my new truck!

Hello jcde302,
I have a 2004 Stx Reg. Cab. I bought Westin Brand Tube Running Boards for mine. They bolt right on to your frame. No drilling. I bought them from my local truck accessory shop. I think they were around $430.00. You might can get them cheaper. Here is a link to my gallery that can show you how they look and bolt on.

Here is a link to the Westin Web site.. If it works. Or just copy and paste to Browser. Hope this helps and good luck on your decision.

Cool

I just got these stainless steel, chrome plated 3 inch nerf bars which are manufactured by Quality S. Manufacturing in Phoenix, AZ. They are called Wildcat Flash Nerf Bars.

The company's web site is http://quality-s.com

My dealer recommended these bars, and told me they are less expensive and better made (stainless steel) than the Ford bars. I paid $375 installed for the chrome version (black is lower priced). The installer even drove 45 minutes to my office and installed them right there in my parking lot. The price he gave me is my dealer's wholesale price, but I'm sure you can go through your dealer and negotiate the same deal.
