Frieght and Gas tax when buying

Do you have to pay the frieght on a truck that has already been on the lot for a month or so? I didn't order the truck, so I don't see why should have to pay for the frieght? I'm I wrong or is this something that the dealer tries to pass on to the consumer? I do have X-Plan. I was wondering if the dealer would eat the frieght charge when I buy?

Yes, you are wrong. Everbody pays the $795 freight charge.

The expense of shipping the vehicle from the assembly plant to the dealer is included in the dealer's invoice price. The fact that the vehicle has been in the dealer's inventory for a day, a week, six months, or a year doesn't negate the expense of getting it there.

oh, that sucks. I thought that maybe just maybe this was something that I might be able to get out of and save myself $1,025 CDN.

I grew at Polaris dealership. I converted to Cat about a year ago. My sled has been good to me anyways. I've heard of the EFI pump going on them. Not me though (knock on wood). Mine is red about 1400 k on it.

About the frieght that's too bad I guess. I see a real nice FX4 Flareside black supercab at a dealer down the road. The truck has been looking sad I can feel it calling me. They want $46, 500 for it. About a $1,000 over my budget.

Where did you buy your truck?? I've priced some FX4's out on www.ford.ca

I don't really want to go more than $45,500. I want to keep my payments around $730 a month for the 60 month finance program. I want a lariat but it goes over my budget. I was told there is no negoiation with price with X-plan. Should I use my X-plan or should try get bicker back and forth with the dealer for a better price?
